Vehicle Prep UK

Jobs through the workshop.

A sample of what actually comes through the unit, and what was done to each one. Every vehicle on this page is one of ours.

A Land Rover Discovery Sport on the ramp with the bonnet up.

Land Rover Discovery Sport

Full service, suspension arms and tyres

  • Full service — oil, filters and full health check
  • Two new lower arms, fitted left and right
  • Two new tyres fitted
  • Road tested and signed off

In for a service and came out with the front suspension sorted as well. The arms showed up on the health check rather than as a complaint, which is the point of inspecting before quoting — it is cheaper to catch it on the ramp than to have it come back.

A silver Mercedes C-Class estate after valeting and servicing.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate

Full valet and oil and filter service

  • Full valet, inside and out
  • Oil and filter service
  • Interior deep clean and leather treated
  • Photographed ready for advertising

A straightforward retail prep. Mechanical side kept simple, with the work going into presentation — the interior is what sells an estate car to a family buyer.

A red Range Rover Evoque finished and ready for sale.

Range Rover Evoque

Washed, serviced and wheels painted

  • Full service
  • Alloy wheels refurbished and painted gloss black
  • Full valet and machine polish
  • Finished and photographed for sale

Kerbed wheels were the only thing holding this one back. Refurbished and colour changed rather than replaced, which costs a fraction of a new set and lifts the whole car.

A white Range Rover Evoque on the two-post lift for timing chain work.

Range Rover Evoque

New timing chain

  • Timing chain and tensioner replacement
  • Engine timing reset and checked
  • Oil and filter change
  • Road tested over distance before release

A proper mechanical job, not a prep job. Worth doing because an Evoque with a rattling chain is unsellable, and worth doing ourselves because it means the car never leaves the unit.

A silver Range Rover Evoque on the lift for cam belt and service work.

Range Rover Evoque

Cam belt, full service and pre-MOT check

  • New cam belt fitted
  • Full service including all filters
  • Full health check
  • Pre-MOT check also completed

A cam belt is the job nobody wants to pay for and everybody regrets skipping. Doing it alongside the service and a pre-MOT check means one booking, one lot of labour, and the car goes to the test already knowing it will pass.

A grey Land Rover Discovery Sport in the workshop during a full service.

Land Rover Discovery Sport

Full service, all four filters

  • Engine oil and filter
  • Air filter
  • Pollen filter
  • Fuel filter
  • Full health check

A proper full service, not an oil change with a sticker. All four filters replaced and the car checked over while it is on the ramp, so anything coming up gets flagged before it strands you.

The old clutch and dual-mass flywheel removed from a Mercedes Sprinter.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

New clutch and dual-mass flywheel

  • Clutch replaced
  • Dual-mass flywheel replaced
  • Gearbox removed and refitted
  • All checked and road tested

A van off the road is somebody not earning, so this one went straight in. The old flywheel had had enough — worth replacing alongside the clutch rather than paying the labour twice.

A BMW M3 masked up in the paint booth during a full repaint.

BMW M3

Full repaint

  • Full strip and panel preparation
  • Bare metal repair where needed
  • Full respray in the booth
  • Machine polished and finished

From minor touch-ups to full repaints — this one was the full job. Prepared, masked and sprayed in our own booth over several days.
